We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Administrator to manage, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow platform in support of business and federal contract requirements. The ideal candidate will ensure platform stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement while aligning ServiceNow capabilities with organizational goals.
Job Overview
The ServiceNow Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day platform administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation of enhancements to improve system performance and user experience. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
Manage daily operations of the ServiceNow platform
Administer users, roles, groups, and permissions
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability
Configuration and Customization
Configure core ServiceNow modules including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, and Service Catalog
Develop and maintain workflows, business rules, UI policies, and scripts
Design and implement complex workflows to support business processes
Maintenance and Upgrades
Plan, test, and apply patches and platform upgrades
Deploy update sets to production for bi-monthly planned releases
Support ad-hoc releases for partner teams
Maintain accurate technical documentation for configurations and processes
Troubleshooting and Support
Provide technical support for ServiceNow-related issues
Troubleshoot and resolve platform and implementation issues
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve incidents and problems in a timely manner
Compliance and Security
Ensure compliance with security policies and federal standards
Manage data integrity, audit logs, and access controls
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience implementing ServiceNow solutions
Equivalency accepted: hands-on configuration or development of 10+ ServiceNow applications
Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree required)
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
U.S. Citizenship (mandatory for federal contract)
Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
Must reside in and perform work within the United States
Preferred Qualifications
Two or more additional ServiceNow mainline certifications, preferably:
CIS – Human Resources
CIS – IT Service Management
Certified Application Developer
CIS – Application Portfolio Management
CIS – Customer Service Management
CIS – Discovery and Service Mapping
CIS – Software Asset Management
CIS – Hardware Asset Management
CIS – Project Portfolio Management
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices
Solid understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles
Advanced scripting skills using JavaScript and GlideScript
Experience building integrations with external systems
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Understanding of ServiceNow performance optimization techniques
