Overview

Decagon is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design and scale core infrastructure systems supporting high-performance, production-grade AI platforms. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in low-level systems, distributed infrastructure, and reliability-focused environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure systems

Improve system reliability, performance, and fault tolerance

Own services across their full lifecycle, from design to production

Collaborate with product and ML teams to support AI workloads

Build internal tooling to improve developer productivity

Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues

Participate in architecture discussions and long-term technical planning

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong background in infrastructure, distributed systems, or platform engineering

Proficiency in backend languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, or similar)

Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices

Strong debugging and systems design skills

Compensation

Base Salary Range: USD 250,000 – 330,000
