Job Overview

Waymo is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of advanced AI systems within its AI Foundations team. This role plays a key part in shaping the core machine learning capabilities that enable autonomous driving.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced machine learning models

Lead technical initiatives within AI Foundations

Collaborate with cross-functional research and engineering teams

Improve model scalability, robustness, and performance

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership

Qualifications & Experience

Significant experience in machine learning engineering roles

Strong background in ML algorithms and systems

Experience deploying ML models at scale

Salary

GBP 120,000 – GBP 130,000 (depending on experience)
