Role Overview

HealthX Africa is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Locum) to support safe and efficient pharmaceutical services via telehealth. The role involves patient counseling, medication management, compliance monitoring, and quality assurance in a virtual healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Review and verify medication orders.

Provide patient counseling on proper medication use.

Conduct telepharmacy consultations and respond to queries.

Monitor for adverse drug reactions and ensure compliance with regulations.

Maintain accurate medication records.

Use telehealth platforms to support digital medication management.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Registered/licensed as a Pharmaceutical Technologist.

At least 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical practice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of pharmacology and therapy standards.

Proficiency in telehealth tools and digital platforms.
