Job Summary

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, within a busy hospital environment. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct patient consultations, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment.

Admit, manage, and discharge patients in accordance with hospital guidelines.

Prescribe medications and order diagnostic investigations appropriately.

Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary clinical discussions.

Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical standards, and ethical practices.

Participate in continuous medical education and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a recognized institution.

Valid registration and practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a busy hospital setting.
