The Lecturer in Economics will provide academic leadership in teaching economic theory, policy, and applied economics. The role combines classroom instruction, mentorship, research, and industry engagement to prepare students for careers in economics, business, and policy.

Key Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, development economics, and international trade

Supervise research projects and dissertations in economics and related areas

Conduct and publish research in peer-reviewed journals

Contribute to curriculum design and review of economics programs

Advise students on career and research pathways in economics

Participate in policy dialogues, consultancies, and economic modeling projects

Requirements

PhD in Economics from a recognized university

Master’s degree in Economics (mandatory if PhD in progress)

At least 3 years of teaching or research experience at the university level

Evidence of publications in economics journals

Proficiency in econometric software (STATA, R, EViews, etc.)

Strong analytical, research, and mentorship skills
