NITA ensures the growth and quality of industrial training in Kenya through oversight, training centres, and curriculum development. The Director Internal Audit provides independent assurance and consulting to strengthen operations.
Job Description:
The Director Internal Audit reports to the Board through the Audit Committee and administratively to the Director General. Key responsibilities include:
Providing secretarial support to the Internal Audit Committee.
Formulating and implementing internal audit policies, strategies, and plans.
Conducting special audits and investigations.
Testing the effectiveness of risk assessment systems and monitoring the Authority’s risk profile.
Reviewing accuracy of accounting reports and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
Providing independent assurance on risk management effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Finance option).
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Finance option).
CPA (K), CIA (K), or equivalent, and membership of ICPAK.
Minimum 15 years’ relevant work experience, with 5 years in a supervisory role.
Leadership course lasting at least 4 weeks.
Proficiency in computer applications.
