Role Overview
The Branch Business Manager will lead the Nyeri branch in driving sales growth, customer acquisition, and service excellence. The role involves managing a dynamic sales team, ensuring compliance with risk standards, and cultivating strong client relationships. It is both a leadership and strategic role, balancing revenue generation with operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to grow both new and existing business.
Monitor daily branch performance and initiate corrective actions to meet targets.
Ensure exceptional customer service delivery at all touchpoints.
Manage and mentor branch staff through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
Oversee branch loan portfolio, ensuring credit quality and early intervention on defaults.
Drive compliance with AML/KYC and internal audit guidelines.
Prepare and submit timely branch performance reports.
Maintain discipline, ethics, and teamwork within the branch staff.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (mandatory).
Master’s degree in a business-related field (advantageous).
5+ years’ experience in sales management within banking.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills.
Knowledge of risk management, credit portfolio oversight, and branch operations.
Selling, negotiation, and basic accounting skills; AKIB certification is a plus.
