Role Overview
The Aftersales Service Technician will support clients by delivering high-quality technical services across solar, backup, and water heating systems. This role involves diagnosing and repairing equipment, managing service contracts, coordinating installations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and professional aftersales support.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose faults in solar, backup, and energy systems, prepare reports, and communicate findings with clients.
Oversee workshop operations, including receiving, recording, and repairing client items in line with company policy.
Plan and manage service contracts, ensuring timely renewals and client communication.
Coordinate site surveys, installations, and call-outs by allocating technicians and resources in advance.
Monitor stock usage for repairs, installations, and service works; liaise with procurement to maintain adequate supply.
Prepare and share site survey, troubleshooting, and service reports with clients.
Manage invoicing, requisition of items from stores, and ensure accurate billing for all service-related activities.
Research and test new products, providing technical feedback and recommendations.
Uphold workshop standards by implementing Kaizen and 6S principles for efficiency and safety.
Support weekly and monthly stock audits of solar-related inventory.
Handle day-to-day client interactions through calls, emails, and walk-ins to the technical department.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering or related field.
Additional certification in basic plumbing or electrical works is an advantage.
Minimum 3 years’ technical experience in the solar industry.
Strong hands-on experience with Solar PV, solar water heating, and power backup installations.
Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-driven, enthusiastic, and client-focused with the ability to thrive under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, projecting a positive image of the company.
