Role Overview
Experian is seeking an AEO & SEO Manager to lead the strategy and implementation of advanced search optimization across both traditional and AI-driven platforms. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the Experian Health brand is highly visible in search engines and generative AI environments such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and similar systems.
As AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and SEO Manager, you will blend strategic planning, technical SEO expertise, and data-driven implementation while working cross-functionally with content, product marketing, and PR teams. You will report to the Digital Marketing Director.
Key Responsibilities
Lead research, strategy, and implementation of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) for Experian Health, also referred to as GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) or AI search optimization.
Increase brand discoverability in generative AI platforms using both on-page and off-page optimization tactics.
Design and test AEO-friendly content structures for webpages, blogs, review listings, and new content formats.
Manage technical AEO and SEO initiatives, including log file analysis, robots directives, schema markup, structured data, and Core Web Vitals.
Conduct in-depth prompt, platform, and competitor analysis.
Implement AI search visibility tracking software and deliver optimization recommendations.
Manage traditional SEO strategy, implementation, and reporting.
Guide marketing teams through shifts in consumer behavior driven by AI technologies.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in SEO and content strategy, including both individual contributor and strategic leadership work.
5+ years of experience driving revenue through data-driven digital marketing strategies.
1+ years of proficiency with AI, including a deep understanding of large language models (LLMs) and prompting.
3+ years of experience translating marketing analytics into actionable recommendations.
3+ years of experience with keyword research and strategic content planning.
3+ years of expertise using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar.
3+ years of experience with web development technologies and CMS platforms, such as Adobe Experience Manager and WordPress.
