Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Excel Specialist to design, optimise, and automate a suite of Excel worksheets that support our booking, operations, sales, and reporting workflows.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys turning complex processes into clear, efficient, and user-friendly systems. In addition to building the sheets, the specialist will train our internal team to confidently use and maintain them.

This is a fully remote role, working closely with our management and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and build advanced Excel worksheets for:

  2. Bookings and inquiry tracking

  3. Guest and client databases

  4. Sales performance and revenue tracking

  5. Operations, transfers, and accommodation coordination

  6. Automated reporting and dashboards

  7. Implement smart automation using:

  8. Formulas, logical functions, and lookups

  9. Data validation, conditional formatting, and drop-downs

  10. Pivot tables and dashboards

  11. Basic to advanced macros (where necessary)

  12. Ensure sheets are:

  13. Intuitive and easy to use for non-technical staff

  14. Well-structured, scalable, and documented

  15. Test all workflows to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency

  16. Train staff through live sessions, walkthroughs, and clear user guides

  17. Provide post-delivery support for refinements and improvements

Required Skills and Experience

  1. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  2. Strong command of:

  3. VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH

  4. IF, COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, logical formulas

  5. Data validation and conditional formatting

  6. Pivot tables and charts

  7. Experience designing Excel systems for business operations, sales, or bookings

  8. Ability to translate real-world workflows into structured Excel solutions

  9. Excellent documentation and training skills

  10. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

  11. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setup

Nice-to-Have Skills

  1. Experience with:

  2. Excel dashboards and performance tracking

  3. CRM-style Excel databases

  4. Google Sheets (bonus)

  5. Previous work with travel, hospitality, real estate, or service-based businesses

  6. VBA / Macros knowledge
