Job Title: ServiceNow Developer

Overview: As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform (ITSM, HRSD, Employee Center and Mobile Apps) to meet business needs. This role involves understanding business requirements, configuring ServiceNow applications, customizing workflows, and integrating with other systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Application Development: Develop custom applications, modules, and workflows in ServiceNow to automate processes and improve productivity.
  • Configuration and Customization: Configure ServiceNow applications and modules based on best practices to meet business needs. Customize forms, fields, UI policies, and business rules as required.
  • Integration: Integrate ServiceNow with other third-party systems using APIs, web services, and middleware to ensure data consistency and streamline processes.
  • Scripting and Development: Write, test, and debug JavaScript, Jelly, and other scripting languages within the ServiceNow platform to enhance functionality and meet business requirements.
  • Workflow Automation: Design and implement workflow automation using ServiceNow Orchestration, Flow Designer, and other automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics within ServiceNow to provide insights into system performance, usage trends, and compliance metrics.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, and release notes, to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with best practices.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, administrators, and other stakeholders on ServiceNow functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the ServiceNow platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Total of over 5 years of IT experience with at least 3+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, and development.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow APIs, integrations, and web services.
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
