Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Solar Shop Salesperson, located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Solar Shop Salesperson will actively engage and assist customers in identifying their solar energy needs, provide product information, and support them in making purchasing decisions. Daily responsibilities include generating leads, maintaining a high level of customer service, following up on client inquiries, and meeting sales targets. The role also involves maintaining product knowledge, demonstrating products, and creating detailed sales reports to track progress and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Sales-related skills such as customer engagement, lead generation, meeting sales targets, and follow-up communications.
• Product knowledge and the ability to explain technical specifications of solar products to customers.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to build customer relationships and close sales.
• Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple customers and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proven customer service experience and attention to detail in managing sales records.
• Proficiency in common computer applications used for preparing reports, managing inventory, and tracking sales.
• Prior experience in solar energy or renewable energy is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Sales, Business, Renewable Energy, or a related field is preferred
