The following position has become available for a General Worker, based in Nalepo/Kenya

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing land for experiment
• Bed raising
• Measuring trial plots
• Raking and levelling beds
• Pest and disease control
• Fertilizer application
• Watering the crops
• Moving seedlings to the field
• Making planting holes in the field
• Transplanting
• Staking tomatoes
• Removal of older leaves from the bottom of plants as required
• Removing weeds from the crops
• spraying
• Cleaning
• Store tools after use
• Report any damage or missing tools
• Assist in harvesting trials
• Weighing harvest crop
• Collecting research sample

REQUIREMENTS:

• Kenya Certificate Secondary Education (KCSE)
• Previous farm work is added advantage
• Pest and disease awareness
• Cleaning and maintenance
• Farm safety and hygiene
• Use of farm tools and equipment
• basic farming knowledge
