Job Description
The Assistant Manager, Digital Loans Collections is responsible for overseeing the digital lending portfolio, including mobile and alternative loan products. The role involves managing pre-delinquency, PAR, and NPL accounts, ensuring accounts return to performing status, and reducing rollovers. The manager will also supervise external collection partners, drive strategic recovery actions, and provide insights to enhance digital products.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and rehabilitate digital loan accounts to reduce NPLs.

Develop and execute pre-NPL and recovery strategies.

Assign and review cases handled by external debt collectors.

Guide staff in providing workable repayment solutions for distressed clients.

Ensure accurate tracking of customer discussions in E-collect.

Represent the bank in legal proceedings related to collections.

Enforce compliance with CBK regulations, AML/CFT laws, and data protection standards.

Evaluate outsourced service providers and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Minimum 3 years of experience in debt collection with focus on digital loans.

Strong knowledge of credit risk policies and CBK guidelines.

Experience in managing external debt collectors and recovery strategies.

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding collection targets.

Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Professional banking qualification (ACIB) or Credit Monitoring is an added advantage.
