Job Description
The Officer, Digital Collections is responsible for recovering delinquent loans on the bank’s digital lending products. The role involves direct engagement with clients, negotiating repayment arrangements, issuing demand notices, and minimizing Non-Performing Loans (NPLs). The officer ensures compliance with Sidian’s credit policies while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively manage accounts in arrears from 1–90+ days to minimize slippages.
Issue and follow up on demand letters and pre-listing notices.
Track payment arrangements and escalate hardcore cases.
Respond to client queries promptly via calls, emails, and letters.
Provide feedback to management on customer repayment behavior.
Monitor compliance with credit monitoring and recovery processes.
Report suspicious repayment activities in line with AML/CFT policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
At least 2 years of experience in banking operations with exposure to lending or credit monitoring.
Knowledge of credit risk policies, CBK regulatory framework, and debt recovery practices.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Professional certification in Credit Monitoring or ACIB is an added advantage.
