IPOA is looking for experienced Principal Investigations Officers to lead investigations into complaints against police officers. The role involves supervising investigative teams, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating rapid response initiatives.

Qualification: Bachelor’s in Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law, Social Science or relevant field
Experience: 9 years (3 years as Senior Investigations Officer or equivalent)

Key Responsibilities

Supervise investigative strategies, policies, and procedures.

Coordinate investigations, audits, and reviews of complaints.

Liaise with other state agencies on police oversight matters.

Facilitate prosecutions and report findings to relevant divisions.

Mentor and supervise investigative staff under your oversight.

Qualifications & Skills

Completed management course of at least 4 weeks.

Membership in a relevant professional body (where applicable).

Proficiency in computer applications.
