The Tutorial Fellow in Health Records/Health Systems will provide academic and research support in areas related to health information systems, health records management, and health data analysis. The role is designed to nurture young academics while contributing to teaching and ongoing research.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in teaching undergraduate courses in health records, health informatics, and health systems management

Support supervision of student projects, fieldwork, and practicum in health facilities

Provide tutorials, academic support, and mentorship for students in the School of Health Sciences

Engage in departmental research and contribute to health data-driven projects

Support curriculum design and review for health information-related courses

Undertake administrative and academic duties as assigned by the department

Requirements

Master’s degree in Health Records, Health Systems Management, Health Informatics, or related field from a recognized university

Must be registered for a PhD in Health Systems, Health Records, or Health Informatics

Practical experience in health records management, health IT systems, or hospital data systems is an added advantage

At least 1 year of teaching or research experience at university/college level is preferred

Evidence of research interest in health data, public health systems, or informatics (publications will be an advantage)

Strong communication, analytical, and mentorship skills
