The Lecturer in Chemistry (Organic/Physical) will teach and supervise students in advanced topics of organic and physical chemistry, conduct research, and contribute to laboratory-based training for both undergraduate and postgraduate learners.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver lectures in core chemistry units, including organic and physical chemistry

Supervise student research, laboratory practicals, and thesis work

Publish high-quality research in reputable chemistry journals

Contribute to curriculum development for chemistry and related science programs

Engage in community outreach and consultancies in applied chemistry

Requirements

PhD in Chemistry with a specialization in Organic or Physical Chemistry

Master’s degree in Chemistry (mandatory if PhD is in progress)

Evidence of teaching and supervision experience at university level

At least 2 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals

Strong laboratory skills and ability to guide students in experimental work

Familiarity with modern research methods in chemistry
