The Lecturer in International Relations will provide instruction, research supervision, and mentorship in areas related to diplomacy, global governance, peace studies, and international law. The position involves preparing students for roles in academia, diplomacy, NGOs, and global organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver lectures in areas such as global security, international political economy, conflict resolution, and foreign policy analysis

Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research projects

Publish scholarly work in international relations and political science journals

Develop and update curricula reflecting emerging trends in global affairs

Represent the department in academic conferences and international collaborations

Requirements

PhD in International Relations, Political Science, or related field from a recognized university

Master’s degree in International Relations with evidence of PhD progression may be considered

At least 3 years of university teaching experience

Evidence of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals

Strong background in research methodology and global political analysis

Demonstrated ability to mentor students in international relations and diplomacy
