The Lecturer in Pure Mathematics will teach and supervise students in advanced mathematical theory and its applications. The role involves delivering high-quality lectures, developing problem-solving frameworks, conducting independent research, and guiding learners in mathematical reasoning.

Key Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as algebra, topology, number theory, real and complex analysis

Supervise research projects and theses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels

Conduct original research and publish in peer-reviewed mathematics journals

Participate in curriculum review and development for mathematics programs

Contribute to departmental seminars, workshops, and conferences

Requirements

PhD in Pure Mathematics from a recognized institution

Master’s degree in Pure Mathematics (mandatory if PhD is in progress)

Evidence of university teaching and supervision experience

Publications in mathematics-focused peer-reviewed journals

Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to mentor and inspire students toward careers in mathematical sciences
