Reporting to the TAC Manager, the TAC Engineer will provide 2nd-level technical support, resolve escalated incidents, and mentor NOC teams. The role also involves managing WIOCC’s network performance, vendor relations, and technical consultancy for shareholders, while ensuring seamless service delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

Technical certifications: Optical networking, CCNA/JNCIA (essential), CCNP/JNCP (desirable).

At least 3 years’ telecom experience managing complex optical networks, including 1 year in second-level support.

Knowledge of Fibre, DWDM, OTN, SDH, Ethernet/IP/MPLS (ISIS, BGP, L2VPN).

Experience with Mikrotik, Juniper, Tejas Networks, and other leading platforms.

Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Cacti, MRTG, PRTG, NPM).

Strong mentoring, problem-solving, and communication skills.
